These ancient holy stones are sourced from the Narmada River, north of Mumbai in India. The river stones are a sedimentary sandstone largely comprising crypto-crystaline quartz with iron inclusions. In Hindu mythology the Shiva Linga represents the unified power of masculine and feminine energies – said to be a perfect fusion. Each stone has unique markings, just as each of us is unique – these stones help us reflect on and appreciate the individuality of everyone we meet.
