Ammonite – Hematised – Small x 4

These ancient creatures swam in tropical oceans about 65 million years ago. Ammonites belong to the cephalopod family, cousins of the contemporary squid and octopus. Collected in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, these ammonites have been cut through the middle and polished to show the beautiful patterns inside, with stark metallic lines formed by the hematite that has replaced the ammonite’s shell over time.

The price is for an assorted lof of 4 pairs. Their shape, size, and patterns will vary from photos shown.

Size: Approx 1.5 – 2.5 cm

Note: Also available in two other sizes.
