Prayer Flags (5 pack)

These colourful cloth flags are traditionally used by Himalayan cultures to promote peace, compassion, strength, and wisdom. They are commonly seen strung across mountain passes, rooftops, monasteries, and homes throughout Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan, and northern India. Rather than serving as decorations, they are considered spiritual tools that carry blessings on the wind.

Prayer flags traditionally appear in five colors: blue, white, red, green, and yellow, arranged in a specific order. Each color represents both a natural element and a quality of enlightened mind: blue symbolizes sky/space, white air/wind, red fire, green water, and yellow earth. Our flags are printed with the oldest and most popular Buddhist mantra: Om Mani Padme Hum, and an image of the Wind Horse (Lungta), believed to carry prayers to the heavens. As the fabric fades and frays, it symbolizes the impermanence of life and the natural release of the prayers into the universe.
