Crinoid Stems – Small, 100g

Crinoids, appearing like graceful underwater flowers, are often referred to as sea lilies. They are among the oldest fossils known in the world, dating back to the Ordovician period, some 450 million years ago. Crinoids had a flower-like set of fronds, anchored to the shallow sea floor by a stem – these sections of this stem have distinctive banding. They’re found near Erfoud, Morocco.
