Chiastolite Tumbled Stones – X5200-E4
Named for the Greek chiastos, referencing the distinctive cross pattern. Known from the late 1500s, and called ‘lapis crucifer’ (cross stone) in Latin texts, it was popular with religious pilgrims in northern Spain. Most stones these days, like these ones we have, are sourced from Hunan, China. Chiastolite is a very rare variety of andalusite, notable for the black graphite inclusions forming a cross in the brown andalusite crystals.
These ancient protective amulets were formed under immense heat and pressure and are said to be deeply grounding, with strong connections to earth energy. Chiastolite is a helpful stone for being aware of surrounding energies and shielding you from anything with negative intent.
