Chalcopyrite is an ore of copper – usually sold as peacock ore, when it is acid washed and left to tarnish into an array of rainbow colours. These stones from Mexico have been carefully hand shaped and polished, and treated to prevent them from tarnishing, so the beautiful golden sheen of chalcopyrite is retained.

Chalcopyrite is known as a stone of transformation – particularly for those stuck in a rut, looking to kickstart a change in their life. It’s also used during meditation to open the third eye to visions within visions, and to bridge the gap to communicate with the spiritual realm.
