After recently visiting China and coming away with a deeper understanding of the supply chains there, we have expanded our range of suppliers. This has enabled us to further expand our range of products, mostly direct from the lapidarist. We’ve inspected a range of showrooms, workshops, and stone supply yards and carefully selected who we want to work with – those offering operational transparency and high levels of worker safety and conditions, alongside high quality, beautiful products. The artisans we spoke with are very fairly paid, even by New Zealand standards, have good access to all PPE, and obviously enjoy their work. Quality control is important to us and having now visited, we’re able to ensure what we receive is of excellent quality.
