Anthophyllite with Garnet Spheres – X6411-A5
So fun story – we bought this as astrophyllite and garnet, but believed it was actually arfvedsonite and garnet but the memo got lost and the first ones got mislabeled (apologies!) But here’s where it gets more fun – turns out this is actually garnet and anthophyllite! These are commonly mislabelled stones and you’ll see all manner of names used across the internet – most commonly the trade name, fireworks stone.
Like Arfvedsonite, Anthophyllite is an amphibole mineral, with stunning sprays of golden, iridescent crystals. This stone from Hubei, China is closely related to Nuummite and shares a deeply grounding energy. Combined with Garnet, these stones offer strength, passion, and vitality – think pep in your step, vim and vigour, and bursting with life. #effervescent
Also known as the “Fireworks” stone.

After recently visiting China and coming away with a deeper understanding of the supply chains there, we have expanded our range of suppliers. This has enabled us to further expand our range of products, mostly direct from the lapidarist. We’ve inspected a range of showrooms, workshops, and stone supply yards and carefully selected who we want to work with – those offering operational transparency and high levels of worker safety and conditions, alongside high quality, beautiful products. The artisans we spoke with are very fairly paid, even by New Zealand standards, have good access to all PPE, and obviously enjoy their work. Quality control is important to us and having now visited, we’re able to ensure what we receive is of excellent quality.
