Mary Ellen Jasper
Mary Ellen Jasper is a beautiful stone from the Mary Ellen Iron mine in Minnesota, USA. The swirling patterns of red, pink, cream, and green were formed almost 2 billion years ago as stromatolites - layered microbial reefs, built up slowly over time in shallow water by algae. They’re stones of intent, of stability, and resilience. Meditate with Mary Ellen Jasper and let it breathe life into you, filling you with vitality and possibility. Menilite
Menilite is a geologic curiosity - a concretion of silica and calcium carbonate often considered a variety of opal. These are unusual stones, very much unstudied, so the processes involved in forming these shapes are unknown. They’re named for the Parisian neighborhood of Ménilmontant where they were first described by the French geologist Jean-Claude Delamétherie, though these pieces are sourced from Morocco. The smooth, bulbous forms can vary in colour, but they typically form in a bright, chalky white. These are shamanic stones of wisdom, providing guidance and stability while walking the spiritual path. These stones serve as a reminder of the fragility of existence and the benefits of spiritual exploration. Some refer to these as Goddess Stones and believe their strong connection to Gaia makes them particularly useful for rebirth and rejuvenation work of any kind.
